EOS Engine Builder
EOS Vision v2.1
IKON EOS Engine · Leadership working vision

Strengthen the system. Then choose the gap.

The six EOS components are managed with the same discipline as every departmental engine. Leadership compares the required one-year state to current reality, identifies the weakest gaps and chooses the few priorities that matter next.

How the Engine Builder feeds EOS

The website creates strategic clarity. EOS converts that clarity into ownership, measurement, decisions and execution.

Approved Engine VisionsVisionClarify the one-year operating state while remaining aligned to IKON's 1, 3 and 10-year direction.

The IKON quarterly cycle

Leadership chooses. The GPT helps build.

Every department and the EOS system are reviewed together. The page informs judgement, it does not replace the EOS Quarterly.

01

Review results

Score prior Rocks honestly, review the Scorecard and surface unfinished or badly framed work.

02

Reconfirm direction

Review the V/TO, one-year plan and material changes in SWOT or strategic Issues.

03

Review every engine

Compare each finished state to reality and identify the most important gaps.

04

Test EOS itself

Open all six EOS blueprints and identify which management disciplines are weak.

05

Choose candidates

Leadership selects candidate outcomes and tests importance, size, capacity and dependencies.

06

Finalise with Chris

Keep, kill or combine candidates. The GPT then structures the approved Rocks or Projects.

The Rock quality gate

  • Directly advances the V/TO, an approved Engine Vision or a weak EOS component.
  • One accountable owner and one unambiguous finish line.
  • Meaningful enough to deserve leadership focus.
  • Achievable within the quarter with available capacity and resources.
  • Dependencies, milestones and compromises are understood.

Classify the work correctly

  • Routine recurring work belongs in a Process or Scorecard.
  • A short action usually belongs as a To-Do.
  • A multi-workstream outcome may be a Project linked to one Rock.
  • Work larger than a quarter needs the next meaningful 90-day finish state.
  • Do not combine unrelated work merely to make a Rock look larger.
Strategic input

Where SWOT belongs

SWOT tests strategy against internal and external reality. It does not automatically create Rocks.

SWOT
Strategic Issues
V/TO and priorities
Annual planning: refresh SWOT and use it to challenge the 3-year picture, one-year plan and long-term Issues List.

Quarterly planning: ask what materially changed. A significant weakness, threat or opportunity enters the Issues List and becomes a Rock only if leadership chooses it as one of the few priorities that matters now.

The distinction: Engine Visions describe what IKON must build. SWOT tests it against reality. EOS provides the discipline to choose and execute.

How to use the EOS Engine Builder

Use the six component blueprints as an objective management-system health check before choosing quarterly priorities.

1. Review one component at a time

  • Read the one-year finished state.
  • Challenge the stated current reality.
  • Add missing evidence and remove assumptions.
  • Identify the few genuine gaps.

2. Diagnose before selecting work

  • Ask whether the weakness is a symptom or root cause.
  • Use IDS where the cause is unclear.
  • Decide whether it is an Issue, To-Do, Process correction, people decision, Rock or Project.
  • Do not automatically turn every red area into a Rock.

3. Compare across all engines

  • Review Operations, Technical, Client Development and Finance.
  • Review all six EOS components.
  • Test candidates against V/TO, Scorecard, Issues, capacity, resources and dependencies.
  • Select only the few company priorities that matter most.

4. Use the transcripts in sequence

  • Capture the leadership pre-quarterly transcript.
  • Capture Chris's EOS Quarterly transcript.
  • Give both to the Rocks GPT after leadership approves the Rock.
  • Use the output to structure the Rock, milestones, tasks and Strety Project where required.

Workshop editing

Edits save only in the browser being used. They do not change the master website or sync between leaders. Print the active component or retain the workshop transcript so approved changes can be incorporated into the source version.

Source control

Documents and status

The blueprint separates EOS source principles from IKON's current working diagnosis. Leadership must validate the current reality and approve any change in direction.
